If u are at least 5’6 to 5’10 ft tall, you can perform squats to gain strength in your legs. The key is to squat very slow and low to the ground. It works best to keep your back straight at a times. Do this at least 100 times a day and soon you will be flying like Jordan. If you want a harder work out, try holding dumbbells but make sure the weights are held straight down the spinal area of your back.

Basketball shoes help in preventing lower body injuries by allowing the players to move quickly and by helping to transfer body weight. At the competitive, level you have to choose proper shoes.
Training:
* Work on your biceps and triceps to strengthen your body.
* Take a swimming class to improve your breathing skills, while running back and forth in the game.
* Impressive PG’s are guards that know how to dunk and rebound. Play a lot of volleyball to perfect your jumping ability so one can have something to bring to the table.
* “With great handles comes great ability”. To perfect your ball handling skills, use a tennis ball and dribble it around. This helps a PG from get the ball stolen by lack of dribbling skills.
* Do fingertip push-ups to perform straight and accurate passing to your teammate.
